Purus Chardonnay

Domaine Naturaliste Purus Chardonnay is made with Dijon clone Chardonnay grown at the cool southern end of Margaret River. The fruit is handpicked at first light.

The grapes are whole cluster pressed. The cloudy juice is fermented with wild yeasts in French oak barriques, about one third new, followed by maturation. To preserve the wine's pristine brightness and acidity there is no malolactic fermentation.

Light yellow, Domaine Naturaliste Purus Chardonnay has pure white fruit flavours, piercing minerality and subtle oak texture. Cellaring potential is eight years.
